Yes, it is officially summer in Colorado, and Douglas County is proving it. Between new restaurant openings, patio season in full swing, and a packed calendar of community events, July is one of my favorite months to explore what is new around Castle Rock, Parker, Lone Tree, and Castle Pines. Here is your local guide to where to go this month.
The Brinkerhoff, Castle Rock Perched above town with sweeping views of Sleeping Indian Mountain, this is easily one of the most talked about openings in Douglas County this year. Think elevated steaks, fresh sushi, craft cocktails, and a patio built for summer evenings. If you want a true destination dinner without leaving Castle Rock, this is it.
Sierra Restaurant, Lone Tree From the same hospitality group behind The Brinkerhoff, Sierra brings that same elevated energy to Lone Tree. A great pick if you are entertaining out of town guests or want a special night out close to home.
Starbird Chicken, Castle Rock For something more casual, Starbird landed in Castle Rock this spring with crispy chicken sandwiches, salads, and tenders, and it has quickly become a go to for a laid back lunch or family dinner.
Griddled Crepes and Paninis, Castle Rock Outlets A locally owned spot serving handcrafted crepes, paninis, and specialty coffee. Perfect for a slower summer morning or an afternoon coffee break while you shop the Outlets at Castle Rock.
Venalonzo’s Tacos, Parker and Lone Tree Known for award winning birria and some of the best tacos in the area, Venalonzo’s has become a local favorite in both Parker and Lone Tree. If you have not tried it yet, July is a good excuse.
Downtown Parker Wine Walk Back again this summer, this is one of the easiest ways to spend a Friday or Saturday evening exploring downtown Parker at a relaxed pace with a glass in hand.
Parker Summer Concerts at Discovery Park Free Thursday night concerts all summer long make this a simple, no plans required way to enjoy a warm evening outdoors with the whole family.
Whimsical Wonders Outdoor Market, Parker Senior Center A community favorite this July, with local craft vendors, live music, and food, all supporting a great local cause.
Patio season across Douglas County Whether it is a sunset dinner at The Brinkerhoff, a casual patio at a local brewery in Castle Rock, or an evening in downtown Parker, this is the month to take advantage of Colorado summer evenings before they are gone.
There is something about Colorado summers that makes people start dreaming a little bigger, whether that means finally getting the patio home with room to entertain, a property closer to Parker’s downtown energy, or a peaceful retreat tucked into Castle Pines. If exploring new restaurants and events around Douglas County has you falling even more in love with this area, and maybe rethinking what your next home could look like, I would love to help you explore what is available right now in Castle Rock, Castle Pines, The Village at Castle Pines, Parker, or Lone Tree.
Enjoy the season, and reach out anytime you want to talk real estate over a good meal.
