Lone Tree

Living in Lone Tree gives you a head start to a great day, especially if you love being outdoors.

Welcome to Lone Tree

A vibrant, tight-knit suburb in Denver with laid-back living and a dash of sophistication

Residents of Lone Tree are quick to tell you, "it's a great day to be in Lone Tree,” and after you've lived here a little while, you'll see why. It's known as the town's motto because living in Lone Tree gives you a head start to a great day, especially if you love being outdoors. In addition, Denver is just a short drive or metro ride away, and at the end of the day, you get to come home to close neighbors and a charming mountainous setting.

What to Love

  • A happy medium between city and country living
  • Fabulous views from many of the luxurious homes
  • Big-city dining and entertainment
  • Tons of outdoor fun

Local Lifestyle

It's a great day in Lone Tree when you can be on the slopes at Breckenridge in a couple of hours, but outdoor fun is a year-round treat here. There are 300 days of sunny weather to enjoy, so hiking, bicycling, kayaking, and rock climbing are popular when you can't get out to ski or snowboard.

The lifestyle here is laid back and outdoorsy, but there is also a thriving arts community if you're not into careening down a mountainside. The Lone Tree Arts Center offers world-class performing arts without having to go into Denver for your Bach fix.

Dining, Entertainment, & Shopping

While nightlife here is low-key, Denver is just a short drive away for enjoying a night on the town. Seasons 52 is a favorite for American cuisine, with an extensive by-the-glass wine list and not a fryer in sight. Seafood lovers hit Blue Island Oyster Bar for incredibly fresh seafood and oyster-shucking tutorials.

There's no need to go to Denver for basic shopping needs. The Park Meadows Mall has everything from Orvis (for your outdoor treks) to Nordstrom to a Tesla dealership.
And if you're looking to take that new Tesla for a spin, find out what's on at the Lone Tree Arts Center and take in a concert, musical, or National Geographic presentation in this state-of-the-art, LEED-certified performance hall.

Things to Do

Admiring the fall foliage is always popular in Lone Tree; the hot summer days and rapidly cooling nights create color bursts in vibrant hues you won't find anywhere else. Head over to Schweiger Ranch, where this historically preserved ranch hosts seasonal events, including a fall festival, holiday lights, and an Austrian Christmas market for unique holiday shopping.

Lone Tree Recreation Center is the hub of a city-owned complex that includes Lone Tree Park for hiking and picnics, Prairie Sky Park for relaxing, and Lone Tree Golf Club for a challenging round of golf. If you're looking for an outdoor day with million-dollar views, Bluffs Regional Park Trail is a 2.7-mile loop with amazing views of the Front Range.
